Why?
BBC Radio 2 are always looking for innovative music-led format ideas that will really appeal to their audience.

How?
The Grape team developed the idea of using music and shared songs to discover unheard stories from famous family members. Each episode features four duos and the stories are interlaced, with the voiceover from Lisa Tarbuck guiding the listener through.

The first instalment of Family Rhythms was broadcast on Christmas Day 2019, with a Lockdown special broadcast June 2020 and another Christmas broadcast in December 2020.
Guests within the series so far have included Richard and Scarlett Curtis, Emma Bunton, Ronan Keating, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, and Martin and Gary Kemp.
