The Brief
September marks Radio 1's 'Live Lounge Month', with a live performance on the station every day. The BBC asked us to produce a film that would give their audience an insight on the history of the Live Lounge and how the process works.
The Solution
With Dev as presenter, we went behind the scenes of the Live Lounge. We traced its journey from its humble beginnings in a basement corridor 16 years ago, to its current status as the most important live music performance on Radio 1. Dev also followed Mark Ronson as he rehearsed for his return to the Live Lounge, met Krept & Konan after their debut performance and heard from Radio 1's morning show presenters Jo Whiley, Fearne Cotton and Clara Amfo, as they revealed secrets of how the Live lounge has broken careers, created legendary moments and cemented a place for live music on Radio 1 & 1Xtra.
